Thank You Card Tutorial

We all need thank you cards. We send them for anything and everything. We probably have more of these than any other card in our stash. Well, today I have a simple but elegant thank you card suitable for a lot of thank you occasions.

First off, die cut your leaves and stamp coordinating images on them. You can use any leaf stamp and dies set in your stash. The possibilities are endless.

Then arrange your leaves onto your choice of background patterned paper. Keep the design of the background paper subtle and not very busy so as not to take away from your main focus which are the leaves. Fill in open spaces in between the die cut leaves with stamped leaves. Don’t put too much or else it will look very heavy.

Now take a strip of kraft cardstock and stamp your thank you sentiment on it with VersaMark ink. Then heat emboss it with white embossing powder. It’s a good idea to use a powder dispenser before embossing. It keeps stray embossing powder off your project.

After assembling your card, add some chipboard embellishment for a little more umph!
