Wintry White Splashed With Some Color 6 comments

...It Is Not Just For Summer Anymore...

Posted by FairyMouseMom

Ah, Winter, what beauty you bring!  If only I didn't have to shovel the snow, I think I would like you more!  But, with that, I have to admit the beauty that the 'white winter' brings.  Since it is January, ACOT's Digital Creative Team wanted to show you how you can add color to a white background  layout.  We came up with three color schemes to show you some variety.  Some of the colors are bold, but others are neutral.  Yet, they all look great together!

Our first look is at pairing up white with a bold blue (Cassandra's choice).  Some were more daring than others in the choice of blue used.

Snow Play by FairyMouseMom (Egle)

"This layout was created for ACOT's Digital Creative Team's Reveal where we are featuring white backgrounds with specific colors to be used.
This one was done for using a (bold) blue color.  I loved mixing and matching different kits by different designers to create this layout."

You & Me New Year's Eve by Mommybruno (Cassandra)

"This is for the Digi CT White Background Plus Color Reveal. My color pick was blue, my favorite color, which incidentally went perfectly with my New Year pictures. Love the brightness of the blue, which not only pops off the white background, but also makes me very happy."

My Snowman by Art_Teacher (Laura)

"This layout is for the color scheme that Cass picked, brilliant blue on a white background. I chose this picture of my husband refilling the squirrel feeder last winter. The blues from Silvia Romeo's kit worked perfectly for this!"

Ahhhhhh...blue! by Janell (Janell)

We all loved how we were drawn to the blue that Janell used here, especially Sean's tongue!

Our second look is at pairing up white with a brown and black (Egle's choice).  All are pretty much neutral colors, but take a look at how the layouts "pop."

A Guy Can Dream by Art_Teacher (Laura)

"For this layout, using the brown and black combo, I knew exactly the photo I wanted to use. I think brown and black can give a very elegant feel to a layout and that is what I was trying to convey."

Brand New Ending by FairyMouseMom (Egle)

"I used a freebie template by ACOT and changed it up a bit to work with the look I desired! I found the quote on my friend's wall on 'Facebook' and absolutely loved it. This layout is another that will end up in my "All About Me" album."

Wow! by Mommybruno (Cassandra)

"This is for the Digi CT White Background Plus Color Reveal.  One of the color choices was black and brown, which was a good combo for this older picture of Xander. The mood of the page, based on the color choices, is very mellow and comfortable. The white background helps to keep the focus on the picture, which I personally think is totally adorable. I could be biased, of course."

Our third color group used was white backgrounds with pale pink, brown, and pale turquoise [aqua / teal] (Laura's choice).

20 Years of Love by Art_Teacher (Laura)

"For this reveal, we each chose a color scheme to use with a white background. I loved the colors in the ACOT collab kit "For the Love of ACOT," which was a special during the November Crop, so I chose aqua, pink, and brown as the colors I would use with the white background. These colors worked perfectly with my anniversary photos!"

Winter Coats by FairyMouseMom (Egle)

"This layout was created for ACOT's Digital Creative Team's Reveal - using a white background with an assigned color scheme to go with it.
This one was for using pink, brown, and aqua with white. I decided to use "neutral colored" photographs and then let the pink and aqua colors pop out on my page a bit."

Quite A Handful by Mommybruno (Cassandra)

"Laura's color scheme was pink, aqua and brown, and I have to say that initially I was dreading this one. But then I found these pics of DS and DH and suddenly the page came together. I kept the pink to a minimum, for obvious reasons LOL! Originally the entire background was white, but with all the white space also on this LO it seemed a bit too much, hence adding the brown. I really like the way it came out."

Merbaby by sarahwhithers (Jennifer)

"For the digital CT reveal this week we're using white backgrounds. I love to use white on my BG's because it makes any colours or elements you use really stand out!  These are some pictures of my cat, Merlin, in the summer."
