July GD challenge 1! Sketch challenge--winner
This will be a sketch challenge and I will get my example up later today. Having issues with the computer and the memory card. This is for paper and digi and you are playing for a 5 ACOT GC. All submissions are due by midnight July 31st. You can do it as a 2 pager or a one page. Mine will be a one page! I found this sketch on the basic grey blog. I love seeing new work so challenges can not be combined.

Thanks to all participants! You all did an amazing job!

Winner is Ayla aka Nancy. Congrats!!!!

Re: July GD challenge 1! Sketch challenge
I loved this sketch from Basic Grey. I just finished a two page layout using this sketch last month. Now to find some more pics and papers for this one. Here's the layout from last month.

Thanks for a great challenge.

Re: July GD challenge 1! Sketch challenge
Thank you Janet for the very challenging challenge. I didn't have a hexagon punch, so DH made me a template and I had to cut them all out by hand. I will now invest in a punch. Here's my LO.

Mildred - Mom to 2 girls and a husband (I tell people that I am a single mom of 3. Ages 61, 39 and 33) lol. And a proud Grandma to Orahn (8) Sawyer (6) and Mazie (4).

Here is mine. I used a template for the hexagons that I found on Pinterest via a PDF document. Printed them on the back of this thick pattern paper, then I cut them out:

Bella is so cute. I love your LO. The colors of your hexagons are great for your background.

Google!! This is for a saw but you get the idea of how to cut from a square. Play w/a couple til you like it, then use that as a pattern to make a whole sheet & cut them out! (unless you have one somewhere on a sticker or piece of paper, then just use that...)

3rd idea - there are downloadable Word templates! (Google hexagon - choose images)

I googled Hexagon Imagies. I picked one and copied it into word. Then I printed off and had DH transfer it onto a piece of cardboard. Then he cut it out and now I have a template. I took the template and traced it on the back sides of the paper I wanted. Then I used a ruler and my exacto knife and cut them out. It is a bit time consuming but they turn out great. I am now going to invest in a punch.
