July Graphic Design Challenge *WINNER*
You all did a FANTASTIC job on this challenge!!! Glad to have had so many participants!!

And the winner of the random drawing is...

oceanbreezes423

Congratulations Susan! I will be sending you your $5 GC shortly!

------------------------------------------------------

I chose the graphic from one of my all time favorite TV shows, LOST, for this month's inspiration. Yes Cherries, I was an addicted full time Lostie and just seeing the graphic for LOST brings back memories of my LOST obsession! The huge word LOST... the smaller almost silhouette images of all the castaways standing in front of it, overlapping the letters yet it being still completely readable... plus the dark and light variations throughout it make for an amazing graphic. It inspired me to scrap a page with some of my favorite pictures of Cider swimming in my parent's pool when he was a puppy. I have so many great memories of him swimming and I am really happy that I preserved them with this page. Now I want to see this graphic inspire you!

Here is my challenge for July:

1) Your title must be one word only and it must be really large.

2) Some of your photos and/or embellishments must overlap the bottom letters of your title, but it should still remain readable. Be creative with this however you want. You do not have to extract or cut out your photos, but feel free to do so if you would like.

3) If you would like, use dark and light shades throughout your page. This part is not totally necessary, but if it inspires you then do it!

4) Most importantly, have fun! Use the LOST graphic for inspiration and go where it takes you!

5) Must be a new layout and may not be combined with another challenge. I really want you to focus on the graphic.

This is open to paper, digi, hybrid, cards, crafts... whatever you want to create!

Post your finished layout, card, or craft to this thread by July 31 at 11:59 PM. A random winner will be selected to win a $5 ACOT gift card from me!

Here is the LOST graphic for inspiration...

That's really cool!! I almost bought S1 at a garage sale yesterday but passed it up, lol. Might be a tough challenge but fun if I can figure out how to do it!

I hope it is not tough for anyone. Just a one word title that is large with some overlap of embellies or photos (or both). That's it. Then just let the graphic inspire you however it does.

Re: July Graphic Design Challenge
Wow this one was a tough one! I used a big bold "summer" title and pushed my photo against it and overlapped waves on the bottom. I used this photo that has a darker foreground of my DD at the beach and the bright water and sky in the back.

Here is mine. I covered part of the bottom of the title with the photo, as well as placing a butterfly on the "d".

Great job Brandy! Love the pretty paper and all those gorgeous butterflies. The large word "bored" is perfect for the pic, and love the overlap of the butterfly!

I am so happy that you were inspired by this challenge. Welcome to the boards! I have posted your layout for you here.

I love the bright colors and the way his name is the large title, and I love all the little "interruptions" in the letters, yet still completely readable! And such an adorable little boy!

Thank you so much. I had everything but the title and journaling tag but it just didn't look right, your inspiration helped me to complete it!

Re: July Graphic Design Challenge
Here is my take on this challenge. I overlapped my title word, and I thought the "Lost" poster almost had a shadow effect, so that is what I went for. Also went light to dark on title.
