Using A Sketch On A Layout

Using A Sketch On A Layout

Hello Everyone! Sara with you today. I have a new layout to share with you featuring our brand new Page Maps sketch! I thought this sketch would work perfectly with these two adorable snowy photos of my niece and with the Simple Stories Winter Wonder collection.

I created these fun clusters with a mix of floral die cuts and stickers. I started each cluster with a large element, then layered on some medium and smaller elements found in the sticker book. Simple Stories Sticker Books are the best sticker books around if you ask me! The stickers are varied and in a lot of sizes. Most of the sticker books contain both icon elements and title options, as well as tabs, tags, and journaling options! Lots of bang for your buck with these. Another great feature: they are not clear! So you can layer them up!

I had a lot of fun layering the stickers with the floral die cuts as well. Since I was using a sketch and the big design decisions were done for me, I was able to play with the clusters…adding layers and depth to them.

For a final element, I coated some of the darker elements on my page with Crystal Stickles. This gave them some snowy dimension and interest…In my world, you can’t make a snowy, wintery page without some sparkle! Crystal Stickles are my favorite “color” of Stickles…they are clear and so sparkly and they add a beautiful sparkle without color!

You can check out this whole layout process on my YouTube channel.

Be sure to take a peek at this week’s sketch challenge, grab some pictures and supplies, and create something beautiful!

Have A Lovely Day!

Sara
