Cocoa Vanilla Storyteller Layout
Good morning Cherries! Suzanna here today to share a layout created using the AHmazing new Storyteller collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio. Have you had a chance to check it out yet? The colors are so rich and lovely, right up my alley!
The hand-stitching is based upon a Japanese stitching technique, Sashiko. The stitches aren’t meant to be perfect. So other than the outline of the outermost circle, there aren’t any pre-punched holes as I would normally do. The homespun quality is meant to add to the charm of the end result.
Beyond the hand stitching, there really isn’t much that’s “difficult” about this layout. Other than, perhaps, lining up the circle dies and ensuring your photos are sized appropriately so as to see all that you would like to see within the circle. The black foam title stickers are just perfect for contrast on the page. I chose to spread the long title out over three clusters that creates movement around the page.
Interspersing the Floral Ephemera with chipboard pieces adds additional texture to the base texture created by the hand stitching. While the white leaves cut with the Sizzix Thinlits die add shadow and movement to the floral clusters.
