The Watermelon Challenge

July YouTube Hop

Welcome to our July YouTube Hop! This month’s theme is the Watermelon Challenge! This challenge is to use watermelon colors to create a project. This is a fun summery color palette to work with! To participate in the hop head to our YouTube channel and comment on our July YouTube Hop video, then follow the links in the description to the next video in the hop and leave a comment there as well. There are 4 videos in this hop to leave a comment on and each is filled with great inspiration!

We would love it if you did the Watermelon Challenge along with us and tag us in your photos so we can see!

Stop #1: A Cherry On Top

Jess is sharing an easy watercolor technique on how to paint watermelons to create a background! She used Carta Bella’s “Summer” collection to add elements to the page and Tombow’s Advanced Lettering Set to add the title.

Stop #2: Natalie Dill

Natalie made a fun splattered watercolor page as the background for this layout! She even cropped her photos to look like watermelon slices! She used Koi watercolors to create this background.

Stop #3: Jil Larson

Jil is using the Color Study collection to create this fun and bright layout!

Stop #4: Sara Scraps

Sara is using a book she made with the Mini Cinch to document flower photos! She is using Catherine Pooler inks in watermelon colors to add floral stamps to her background.
