I'm a mother of 2 grown children: Dan (26) and Sandra (23). I returned to my hometown here in NY from TX almost 12 years ago when my husband and I divorced. (He died 3 yr. ago)
I'm from a large family: I was one of 10 children (I was #5, the "last of the upper half"), and my folks have 22 grandchildren and soon to be 24 great grandchildren. My dad died 5 years ago, but my mom will be 86 in Sept.
I started scrapbooking as we know it probably about 5 years ago, but I did make a scrapbook while in high school (oh, so many years ago!) Haven't posted any layouts yet, but hope to be able to take some pictures of some of my pages soon so that I can. Presently, I'm working on a Hometown Album: I've been busy trimming my pictures and trying to organize them before actually doing the pages.
My sister and I have been editing and printing a family newsletter for the past two years.
Besides my hometown scrapbook, I have done lo's of family get-to-gethers, the Irish Fest I go to each year, birthdays, an impromptu road trip I took with a friend, winter, fall, etc. My kids are grown but someday I hope to have time to do scrapbooks of when they were little. Haven't used too many embellishments yet...
