About

I started scrapping after DH and I got home from our honeymoon in '03. I'm a SAHM - we have two sons, born in '04 and '05. I LOVE scrapbooking - it's my creative outlet. I'm also into building my scrapbook heap of materials! I just CANT STOP BUYING! It's so addicting! :-)

Lately, I love using anything sparkly on my layouts! Also love chipboard and swirly rub-ons!

I work a lot in browns/naturals, blues, greens and Disney!

Here's my little question & answer thingie:
---------------------------------------------
My birthday is October 9th
My anniversary is March 29th
My other interests besides scrapbooking are: Disney, Cooking, Art, Family Activities

My Scrapping Style is: modern, structured, artsy-fartsy.
Album size: mostly 12X12
Color choices: browns/naturals, the whole range of blues, greens, maroon.

Do you own a Sizzix? Yes!

What kind of layouts are you going to be working on in the future? I do lots of layouts for the boys. I also have a TON of Disney stuff I'm always working on (we're Annual Passholders @ Disneyland - even tho we live in Sacramento! and we're hitting DisneyWorld at the end of this year). I always scrap Christmas, Birthdays, Family Outings

Do you like cute stuff? Depends on how you define cute. Probably mostly no. But I really like bling, and I consider that cute!

Heritage? No

Do you use diecuts? Yes, chipboard ones and the ones that match paper lines (like Basic Grey, Wild Asparagus, etc.). I also use diecuts I make myself.

Lumpy or not lumpy? I'm cool with a little bit lumpy.

Anything you won't use? I really dislike Mrs. Grossman's (mostly) and Sandi Genovese stuff. It looks dated to me.

Favorite designers? My Mind's Eye, Cosmo Cricket, Basic Grey, Daisy D's, 7gypsies, Rusty Pickle, Scenic Route.

Anything you are wanting to try? I want to figure out more things that can be altered items that will lay flat on a scrapbook page.

Do you stamp? no

Chalk? no

Ribbon (unprinted/printed)? I'm a huge fan of ribbon. Lots of grosgrain.

Patches? no, but not opposed

Metal clips? yes

Wooden embellishments? not yet

Library pockets/cards? yes, just started those

Buckles (metal/palstic)? yes, i've only used metal so far, but i'd go for plastic, too

Twist ties? not yet

Decorative brads? Yes. I really love the brads with jewels in them.

Twill (unprinted/printed): I don't have any but I'd be willing to try.

Fabric? no

Bottlecaps (plain/printed)? no...they seem too thick. but i have used fake bottlecap stickers! (see layout in my gallery - Jeremy's 1st trip to Disneyland)

Rick Rack? only a little

Canvas embellishments? rarely

Color washes? no

Walnut ink? no

Liquid chalk ink pads? yes

Acrylic paints? yes, paint daubers.

Foam stamps? no

Regular stamps? a little bit. especially swirls/flourishes and journal boxes.

What is your favorite type of item to make? >>> I seem to make tags a lot. I also enjoy drawing my titles by hand at the top of the page.

What is your least favorite type of item to make? >>> I haven't discovered this yet.

Do you use journal boxes on a regular basis? Yes, I tend to make them myself.

Do you use borders on a regular basis? Not regular. But sometimes.

Do you use titles on a regular basis? (By titles I mean those that you make on a separate piece of paper and then adhere to the background. So, it doesn't include just adhering letters to the background.) Yes

Do you use embellished tags on a regular basis? (and by that I mean those that you embellish yourself.) yes

Do you use paper piecings on a regular basis? only the Jolee's kind

Do you use shakers on a regular basis? no

Do you use deco squares on a regular basis? no

Do you use serendipity squares on a regular basis? no

What is your greatest scrapbooking weakness? >>> buying stuff- especially anything sparkly.

What is your favorite paper theme (i.e., floral, stripes, plaid, fun themes, solids)? >>> i like papers that have that dark or worn/grunge look. I also really go for stripes, but not the ones that are so tiny they make you dizzy to look at!

Other than time and money (which we all need more of), what is your greatest scrapbooking challenge? >>> i waffle back and forth between caring about how quickly or slowly i get pages completed when i crop. sometimes i think i want to really churn them out. other times i think i'd rather have them look better and take longer!
