My name is Jenn, I'm 22 years old and from around Williamsport, Pennsylvania. I have been scrapbooking for about 5 years now and have no intenton of ever giving it up!! I'm a 'slow' scrapbooker. It takes me atleast an hour to finish one page. I'm a perfectionist.
Album size? My books are 12x12. Gifts are in various sizes. I have done (3) 12x12 - (4) 8.5x11 - (2) 8x8 and (1) 6x6. And I am currently working on (3) 12x12 albums.
Color choices? I'm really up for anything as long as it looks good.
Kids? Not yet.
Pets? Cat - Cleo
What kind of layouts are you going to be working on in the future? Hopefully everything! Right now I mainly do vacations, family, friends .. That sort of stuff. I don’t have kids, never been married .. So I don’t have those to scrapbook .. Yet!
Do you have a sizzix? In the process of getting rid of the Sizzix. I have a Cricut.
Which dies? Selling the sizzix dies ... As for the Cricut I have the George and Doodlebug.
Do you like cute stuff? Uhm, sometimes.
Heritage? I'm slowly working on a Heritage Album. I have pictures dating from 1902!
Do you use diecuts? From my Cricut, I use diecut letters.
Lumpy or not lumpy? I previously had lumpy, but my style has changed ... Id say both because some are lumpy, others arent!
Anything you won't use? Hmm, probably chalk.
Favorite designers? Basic Grey, Lil Davis, Karen Foster
Anything you are wanting to try? Was distressing, tried that .. LOVE IT! .. So now I guess more layering.
Eyelets? Not much.
Brads? Once in awhile.
Nailheads? I’ve never tried them. Actually, never heard of them.
Pins? No
Metal? Eh, I don't think so.
Stickers? Depends. I don’t like cute cartoonish ones.
Do you stamp? Not rubber stamping. I like the foam stamps and the clear stamps.
Chalk? It’s alright. I did it once, and it smudged. Im not sure how to make it not smudge.
Ribbon (unprinted/printed)? Love it.
Patches? I don’t think Id use them.
Metal clips? I have them and have no idea how to use them.
Wooden embellishments? Probably not.
Library pockets/cards? I want to try them.
Buckles (metal/plastic)? Never tried them, but would like to.
Zippers? No, wouldn’t want to.
Twist ties? Never used them, don’t think I would.
Twill (unprinted/printed)????? I have some, never used it though!
Fabric? Never tried it.
Bottlecaps (plain/printed)? Ive never used bottle caps in a layout, but would like to sometime. They can be expensive.
Rick Rack? Nope, don't think I would.
Canvas embellishments? Probably not.
Color washes? No
Walnut ink? Only the greatest thing EVER!
Liquid chalk ink pads? Never used it… is it better than normal chalk?
Acrylic paints? I have some, I don't use it too often.
Foam stamps? I have tons of foam stamps and hardly use them anymore!
What is your favorite type of item to make? I like to distress.
What is your least favorite type of item to make? Tags
Do you use journal boxes on a regular basis? Yep.
Do you use borders on a regular basis? Most of the time.
Do you use titles on a regular basis? (By titles I mean those that you make on a separate piece of paper and then adhere to the background. So, it doesn't include just adhering letters to the background.) I usually use my Cricut to maky my titles.
Do you use embellished tags on a regular basis? (and by that I mean those that you embellish yourself.) No
Do you use paper piecings on a regular basis? No
Do you use shakers on a regular basis? Nope
Do you use deco squares on a regular basis? No.
Do you use serendipity squares on a regular basis? No.
What is your greatest scrapbooking weakness? I wish I was better with patterned paper. Like using different kinds, on one layout.
What is your favorite paper theme (i.e., floral, stripes, plaid, fun themes, solids)? Stripes. Im always buying stripes.
Other than time and money (which we all need more of), what is your greatest scrapbooking challenge? I like everything to be perfect. And I always plan my layouts ahead .. I will never start one until I know exactly how I want it.
