Just started scrapping in October 2004. (Am)Erika got me going on it. She's lots of help. I have a lot of fun putting lay outs together, but I have A LOT to learn and need to learn how to be more creative!
I'm 33 (March 21), married for 13 1/2 years, and work for the Kansas Legislature.
I collect dolphin and dachshund stuff. I like to go to the local ice hockey games with my 7 1/2 year old son (who wants to be a hockey player) and I like to watch the reality tv shows like Survivor, Big Brother, Wife Swap, Super Nanny.
My Scrapping Style
Album size? 12X12
Color choices? Any
Kids? 1 boy-Jared (does the husband count too? He's more work than the kid.)
What ages? 7 1/2-keeps me busy, but he's a cutie.
Pets? 2 weenie dogs, 7 mos. old Digger, and 15 year old Ellie.
What kind of layouts are you going to be working on in the future? whatever I can come up with. Have a lot of family pictures, and birthdays to scrap.
Do you have a sizzix? nope, I wish I did
Do you like cute stuff? some
Heritage? ?
Do you use diecuts? yes
Lumpy or not lumpy? lumpy
Anything you won't use? don't think so, but I just started so I'm not too sure.
Favorite designers? I like the embellishments by Jolee.
Anything you are wanting to try? Yes, EVERYTHING--bottle caps, chalking, fibers, metal clips, slides, shakers.
Do you stamp? I haven't yet.
Chalk? no, I can't figure it out.
Ribbon (unprinted/printed)? Love both kinds!
Patches? no
Metal clips? love them!
Wooden embellishments? not yet
Library pockets/cards? not yet
Buckles (metal/palstic)? not yet but I ordered some
Twist ties? ordered some, I haven't used them yet.
Decorative brads? love them!!!!!
Twill (unprinted/printed)? nope haven't used this
Fabric? no
Bottlecaps (plain/printed)? I have a couple, but haven't used them yet. Need to get the right sized stickers to stick on them.
Rick Rack? I wanna use this, but haven't yet. Is on my list to try.
Canvas embellishments? no
Color washes? no
Walnut ink? no
Liquid chalk ink pads? no
Acrylic paints? no
Foam stamps? not yet, I have a couple though.
Regular stamps? I haven't used stamps for my lay outs yet, but I have some.
What is your favorite type of item to make?
I like cropping the photos, tearing paper, brads and eyelets. (when my clik it works right!!! grrrr)
What is your least favorite type of item to make? titles or writing on the lay out. Afraid I'll mess it up.
Do you use journal boxes on a regular basis?
no, would like to be more comfortable using them though.
Do you use borders on a regular basis?
yes
Do you use titles on a regular basis? (By titles I mean those that you make on a separate piece of paper and then adhere to the background. So, it doesn't include just adhering letters to the background.) yes, need to figure out how to print on vellum
Do you use embellished tags on a regular basis? (and by that I mean those that you embellish yourself.) I have a couple, but I haven't used them yet.
Do you use paper piecings on a regular basis? No, I've seen some really awesome ones. Would love to learn how to do these.
Do you use shakers on a regular basis?
I haven't used them yet. I have one shaker I made.
Do you use deco squares on a regular basis?
I think they are really cute, but I've only used deco squares on one layout.
Do you use serendipity squares on a regular basis? what's this?
What is your greatest scrapbooking weakness?
new stuff, sale stuff, and paper--I have sooo much patterned paper.
What is your favorite paper theme (i.e., floral, stripes, plaid, fun themes, solids)?
I like solids, dots, big stripes and some themes depending on the pictures I'm scrapin.
Other than time and money (which we all need more of), what is your greatest scrapbooking challenge? creative lay outs, I am not very creative, but I am getting great ideas from this site, I also tend to put too many pictures in a layout.
