Greetings from Flasher! My name is Laura. I'm a paralegal. I am obsessed with the color pink, and even more obsessed with music . . . all genres!
I've got an adult daughter and an adult son. I have an out-there sense of humor and love sarcasm. In addition to scrapping, I love to bake! Cookies, brownies, cakes, pies, muffins -- all the things! Well, not quite all the things. I still struggle with breads. But, with practice, I'll get there!
As far as scrapbooking goes, I scrap 8.5 x 11. I'm mostly drawn to bright colors, even neons. There are only two items I really dislike when it comes to scrapping and that's the color black and Washi tape. (Stand down and stop throwing things at me.) I think Washi is pretty, but I find that I can get pretty close to the same effect with ribbon. Plus, I don't like that it's semi-transparent. I rarely scrap holidays and my albums are 90% filled with everyday moments. I feel that we are most likely to remember the major stuff like holidays and birthdays and graduations, but the sweet little moments that happen in between are the ones that will likely need to be preserved. I'll always remember when my son got his driver's license, but I may not always remember when he went to drink the milkshake and dumped it all over himself. :) My favorite scrappy item . . . stickers . . . any and all kinds!
I've been here on the ACOT message board since October 2003, and I won't leave until ACOT does! I've "met" such beautiful, wonderful, caring, and compassionate women here. This is truly a "home" to me.
