SEPTEMBER EVENT CHALLENGE-updated with winner

Post by oceanbreezes423 » Tue Sep 01, 2020 9:41 am

Thanks to all 16 cherries who were able to play along this month. The winner though, chosen by random.org is #10-DMarie!! I loved all your pages!

Each month I will choose an event, and your layout MUST be about that subject. There may be times I throw in a bonus, or a specific title to go with the layout.
All layouts must be new, loaded in this thread. You may do as many as you like, but your name will only go in once to make it fair for all participants. There will be a gift card awarded of $5.00 to the winner each month.

Your challenge this month, should you choose to accept it, is a NEGATIVE layout.I did this once years ago. We all have bad things that happen, illness, accidents, etc. But for some reason we all focus our layouts on good things. So, for this challenge, scrap that bad event that you went through. We have all been there, so NO judgments allowed. Any questions, please ask. You may combine with another challenge if it allows. Please load NEW layouts to this thread by September 30.

My sample:

Awesome LOL! I have three different sets of ER visit pictures to catch up on. DS sprained his ankle, DD's newly pierced earring got stuck inside her earlobe, and DH had a run-in with his finger and a mandolin! What shall I pick?  :greenwinkb:
Happy Scrapping!

I have scrapped several negative events.  Cathartic, and I want to remember them.  Wish I had more pics of others, like car accidents, injuries, etc!

This was hard! But I went back and found this picture of someone who did not want to go back to school.

Here is mine. On Sept. 1 I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. I use to eat bad, drank to much pop and just ate junk. In a week I have started making changes and started med. My plan is not to be diabetic for long and be able to maintain the healthier lifestyle. If I did not work in the medical field and have access to in house testing I would probably not know I am diabetic. I thought I had a kidney stone and did a urinalysis in my office. There was so much sugar in it. Even though my body was telling me something was wrong I was ignoring the signs, looking back I see that now.

Here's mine! 😊

Photo of sweet grandson Marcus. While visiting friends he was riding a strange bike on gravel and wrecked and messed up his knee. (March 2020) 💖

Here is one from me!  Momma fell and tried to cut off the tip of her ear.  What a mess but she smiled and laughed her way though it.

This was a memorial service for my mother in law.  My BIL and SIL both asked my hubby to have the family gathering for her memorial at our house.  Lots of good tears were shared and I wanted pictures of folks/family who came.  It turned out to be very therapeutic event but negative in the sense that it was for her passing.  I did a two page spread.

Thanks for this challenge. Back in 2014 we went to the 9/11 Memorial and I hadn't scrapped the pictures yet. The journaling outlines our experiences on 9/11 and how it was going to the memorial. You could still see construction happening around lower Manhattan all those years later.
