The response to my new challenge has been wonderful.  I'm so glad to see so many like it.  

The winner by random.org is SandyJay.  Congrats on being the winner of the first half-it monthly challenge.    I am heading to the shop to order your gift card now.  

For this challenge the background of your layout will be split in half.  It can be split horizontally, vertically or diagonally.   The twist this month is:  must have at least one tag of any size.

You may use either solid papers or patterned papers on both sides or a combo of half solid and half patterned paper.  You may also use photos or element cards on one of the halfs.  See sample below.

Layout sizes allowed for this challenge are:  12 x 12 and 8 1/2 x 11 only. 

You may also make a 2 page layout, but it will only count as one entry.

Here are some samples of different layouts that have split backgrounds.

Vertical split with paper


Vertical split with paper and photos (could be element cards also)

Diagonal split

Diagonal split with a slight border around the edge

Horizontal with paper



Rules
1.   Layouts only and must be new.  Sizes are 12 x 12 or 8 1/2 x 11 only.

2.   You must post your layout in this thread.  

3.   You may only combine with one monthly MB challenge that allows combining.  May also combine with the 100 papers and the prompt challenge.  May not combine with any of the summer MMC challenges.

4.   Multiple entries. 

5.   You must submit your entry by Tuesday, June 30th at 11:59PM EST.

I love that there are so many options for this challenge. For my first one I chose photos on the right half and paper on the left. (I print my photos with the white border on them)
