Sweet Cherry Pie

Oh, Husband...
We spent yesterday putting away all the Christmas decorations. DH took the skeletal remains of our tree outside. He tells me at dinner that he left some stuff he wants scrapped one my desk, amd told me he would be texting me pictures to go with it. So... I go check my desk to find a small limb from the tree, with the tag on it that labeled it with our name, from when he and our 13 year old went to cut it down.

How in the world do I include this branch?  It is about 8 inches long, Douglas Fir, so short needles.  He is very excited to have thought to include it.  I am sure he is expecting to see "it" and not just a photo of it.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Awwww!!! How sweet but yes it's a bit of a conundrum LOL! Maybe one of those glassine or vellum bags or envelopes? So that it could be on there, you could see it, but it wouldn't be touching the papers/photos or shedding?
Happy Scrapping, cherries!

Bowl Full of Cherries

Re: Oh, Husband...
I have no clue as to how you would scrap it, but I think it is so cute that he saved it for you to scrap. That is something my DH would do. Love It!!!
Mildred - Mom to 2 girls and a husband (I tell people that I am a single mom of 3. Ages 61, 39 and 33) lol. And a proud Grandma to Orahn (8) Sawyer (6) and Mazie (4).

A Cherry on Top

Re: Oh, Husband...
aawww...so thoughtful of him! How about scrapping a layout with it included and then put it in a shadow box to hang up or display? I've seen 12x12 shadow boxes at places like TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

I like Deanna's idea...a shadow box.

How sweet of him to save it.  Like the others a shadow box or keep some of the needles off in a bag you can attach to the scrapbook page.

That is so sweet! I think a glassine or vellum envelope with part of it in it would work.

Re: Oh, Husband...
Your husband is amazing!  He completely understands your love to preserve your family's memories!

Mine did recently, too!  So I can relate how loving he is to be thinking of you

Re: Oh, Husband...
That is so sweet of your dh. He really gets it. I think all the ideas that you got from the other Cherries are great. I would also consider maybe putting it in a ziplock bag and squeezing as much of the air out as you can, then maybe using washi tape to attach it to the layout. Just a thought.
