For my July Graphic Design Challenge - a fun way to tell a story by substituting little pictures for words. My story is about Maddie wrapping a Christmas present for her mommy when she was three years old. TFL.
Journaling reads: When Maddie was three I took her to the store to pick out a Christmas present for her mommy. She picked out a pretty dress and some jewelry and I told her she could wrap it herself. She sat at her little table and first she made her mommy a card. I gave her a piece of blank paper and a whole bunch of Christmas stickers that she could use. On the front she put a Christmas tree a reindeer and Santa plus some other holiday decorations, and on the inside she put some snowflakes and penguins. Then I helped her write mommy on the front and sign her name on the inside. After that she picked out the paper she wanted to use to wrap mommy’s presents. I did the cutting with the scissors and showed her how to wrap the little jewelry box. Then we worked on the box with the dress. I helped her put tissue paper inside and she put the little package inside the box too. Then she picked out the wrapping paper that she wanted to use. We put the paper around the box and I let her put the scotch tape on to hold it down. When she finished that she picked out a bow and put it on the box. Then she picked out the the label that she wanted to use and stuck it on the box, and I let her use the pen to write on it. When it was all done she put the package under the Christmas tree for mommy to find on Christmas Day.
Papers and Elements from these kits: Be Jolly (Connie Prince), Dear Santa (Lliella Designs), Holiday Season (aprilisa), Celebrate Brite (Chelle's Creations), P2012 Winter (Jen C.), Presents Everywhere (Trixie Scraps), Life in Pixels (Traci Reed), Ho Ho Ho (Melissa Bennett), and A Merry December (Meghan Mullens).
