Journaling says:
Since neither Steven nor Henry had any interest in going to meet Santa when they were little, I foolishly assumed that William wouldn’t be interested, either. This year, however, he somehow was convinced that you had to go see Santa & tell him what you wanted or he’d get it horribly, tragically wrong. So, in the last week before Christmas, I took Will & Henry to Santa’s hut on the Square (where I saw Santa when I was little, too!) I thought due to the late date & the low temperature, we wouldn’t have to wait, but, again, I’m a fool. We waited outside in the freezing cold for our turn & we were thoroughly icy when we entered the hut. William had no fear at all. He sat right down next to Santa and told him all sorts of things while Henry danced around saying, “YO-HO-HO” & singing snippets of Christmas songs. We finished up & all was well until I told William not to run into the street. For some reason, this triggered an epic meltdown which culminated in a purposeful dumping of milk on the car floor. Uncool, but memorable. December 2013
