A Christmas card from my best friend, this one is from 1999, which included a picture of her with her family (sister, husband and parents). I have some cardstock that I bought a long time ago and I don't like anymore, so I updated it by randomly stamping across the surface with a Distress Ink pad, and then dotting with a foam brush and acrylic paint to try to replicate the faint snowfall on the Christmas card. Also, I love the look of framing pictures but I'm usually too lazy and always mat instead - in this instance there are white edges on the picture that I didn't want to cut off because of writing on the back, so that motivated me to cut the patterned paper into a frame and I really like how it turned out. Also, since I wanted have the option of looking at the writing on the back, I didn't use any adhesive on the picture and used the brads on the striped paper frame to form a pocket which I slid the picture into.
