I really like this paper line!!! I had this awesome pic of Memphis I used a phone app to edit. This was in 2014. That Christmas was a little rough- first one without Merlin along with some family issues. I ended up doing very few layouts for my Journal Your Christmas album that year. So When I saw this paper I knew I wanted to use this pic!
So the poinsettias I used were on the opposing side of the wood look paper. They were just drawn on and the paper background was white. So i used watercolor. OOoooo they were SO red, and I wanted the focus to be on the photo and the red pops there. So after I did the watercolor I let it dry and used a wash I made with Black glitter tattered angels mist and water and I painted over the red to dull it and make it more toned with the black look. Then I used black stickles to outline them. I love how that turned out!! I also used some Bo Bunny glitter paste for the stick up green spots on the middle of the flower! It was the crusty edges that had dried on the jar. It was still sitting on my desk after I had used it for those green stars on Troll pumpkins! I cut it and glued it -- WOW I wish you could see it in real life it turned out very nicely!
