This art journal cover was so fun to create! I started out with a layer of heavy gesso to cover both the front and back covers, and let that dry. Then I used the chipboard pieces as stencils, and used modeling paste to make some really cool texture. I also glued on a couple of the chipboard pieces, as well as a couple metal embellishments. I let it all dry, then added another layer of gesso. So many layers! After that dried, I painted it all with the liquid acrylics. The ochre and crimson go really well together! I finished it off with glitter, micro beads, and wax.
