We Love Gravity Falls
by scrappinmom99Jul 11, 2022
MCC July 5 - #1 - favorite animated show
Jump into Summer #11 - sketch from #5
DD is still working on her journaling from the kids' POV. She has a lot to say lol......I'll add it when she gets it to me. Also the pics are from when we dressed as Mabel and Wendy for Halloween last year.
My journaling (from the grownup POV):
It is the ten-year anniversary of Gravity Falls and it has only gotten dearer to us as time goes on. We started watching with the kids when it premiered in 2012. We were intrigued right away with what we thought was the “X-Files for kids” aspect. We quickly got sucked into the mythology of the show: Who is the author of the journals? What is all the weird stuff going on in the town? Will Dipper ever impress Wendy? Will Mabel have an epic summer romance? What is the backstory of the Pines twins? Will they ever defeat Bill Cipher and save the world?
The show is very well-written and the characters are delightful. Grunkle Stan is both my and Anthony’s favorite! He is old, cranky, and very relatable LOL! He doesn’t always do the appropriate thing but loves those kids like there is no tomorrow!
