I used the Quill foiling pen to add the tree trim and the center spine and branches. The scallops came out ok but it was impossible to get clear, crisp lines "in the blind" on the drawn tree. I used masking to keep the outline shape but just could not get a solid transfer of foil for the trunk and branches. I improvised the silhouette of trees on the horizon with mask die cut of copy paper and sponge daubing distress oxide ink (Speckled Egg and Stormy Sky). I didn't have any small birdie stamps so I just freehanded it, colored with copics and fussy cut. He is a bit out of proportion, but heck, the whole card looks like a 4th grader made it. I learned more about my crafting limitations and it was fun to TRY. Thanks for looking. Thanks for the challenge. |
