Amidst the holiday chaos, I gave myself some time to decompress in my mixed media journal. It helped me refocus on the reason for the season. I was grateful to have been able to put the joy back into the week as it could easily be overshadowed by the gift wrapping and gift giving.

This page was created using brass and bronze mica sprays splattering and spraying, gesso in which I sprinkled gold glitter in and later added glossy accents, a floral stencil with gold embossing powder and Distress Inks, Christmas tree embossing folder to which I also added Tim Holtz watercolor pencils, die cuts, tag punch, clear stamps, variety of cardstock and scrapbook paper from my stash and pieces of Christmas wrapping paper stacked next to the gifts that still needed wrapping lol
