Dad’s Appreciation of DC

by lisn2catsMay 26, 2025
2025 May/June Graphic Design

I didn’t really know what to call this LO. Dad was one who lived in the moment and appreciated his surroundings. When Johns Hopkins University, SAIS, moved to what used to be the Newseum, the view of the Capitol gave him joy. I think he was very proud of commuting into the city to teach his class and appreciated the view of the Capitol. He would often send me photos of his street-view (bottom) and from one of the upper floors of the school. I am proud to say that I, too, try to be mindful of wherever I am and find joy in the moment.

Great way to document his appreciation. Love the ticket strips for dividing the background and the colorful leaves!

I love the big bold stems against the subtle background. The colors are gorgeous together and the ticket strip is a nice divider. Thanks for doing my challenge!
