For Susan's My Year to Shine Challenge - to scrap a layout that shines, and to also use sequins and/or gems. Everything I used shimmers.

I started with a piece of Vicki Boutin Black Foundations 12 x 12 paper and went to town on it with Lisa Horton Interference Inks and Simon Hurley Solar Pastes. Went well out of my comfort zone with the ink pads and a palette knife. It is very interesting how putting the Solar Pastes on top of the Interference Inks changed the colors. Really cool effect.

I added reflective gems and star sequins to make my night sky. The blue glitter paper is old Petaloo Dazzlers paper. I hoarded Dazzlers, and when Petaloo came out with the paper pads of the same paper that Dazzlers were made of I hoarded those too. lol.

The cardstock behind the photo is from a DCWV Shimmer Stack.
