For the weekly card sketch challenge (50), I decided to make a foiled leaf banner! Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L has pre-cut foam leaf that give you dimension and uses mediums like foil, glitter and even embossing powder as they are heat resistant.
I made a 4 7/8 x 3.5" card front with two pieces of patterned paper. The larger piece, I paper torn the bottom edge before adhering together with the yellow paper. The panel was popped up with Crafty Foam Tape and I tucked the twine behind the foam tape and secure the front with Adhesive Lines.
For the foiled leaves, I wrinkled one foil color, place it on the leaf (color side facing you) and rub to transfer the color. Then peel off to reveal a distressed look. Next place a solid contrasting foil color over the distressed foiled leaf. I used this technique to give foil interest and it's so easy...no special tools :)
Thanks for letting me play along!
