CMS School Life
by Cassie WiscarsonJun 22, 2026
This layout was inspired by a sketch from Scrapbook Generations and features the fun Life Captured collection from Simple Stories.
The sketch was perfect for documenting these back-to-school photos, and I loved the grid design with all of the rounded rectangle elements. It gave me the opportunity to mix a variety of patterned papers while still keeping the page clean and organized.
I stayed fairly close to the original sketch, layering several patterned papers throughout the design and adding school-themed embellishments to help tell the story. A few gold gems were the perfect finishing touch and added just a bit of sparkle.
One of the things I love most about working with sketches is how they make it easy to combine lots of papers and products while taking the guesswork out of the design process. This page came together quickly and was such a fun one to create!
