This layout was created with the May Whispers of Nature kit from The Crafty Maven Getaway and documents one of Frosty's funniest puppy moments. While the kit's colors and motifs lend themselves beautifully to nature-themed projects, I wanted to show just how versatile the products can be by using them to tell an everyday story.

To create the background, I started with a pre-made black and white paper from 49 & Market and added layers of mixed media, including color, splatters, and texture. The soft purples, greens, teals, and pinks from the kit blended together beautifully and provided the perfect foundation for the photos and embellishments.

I used the mixed media to create movement across the page while keeping the focus on Frosty's adorable expression as he watched a slice of cake that he was certain should have been his. The combination of artistic layers, playful embellishments, and candid photos helped capture the humor of the moment.

This project is a great example of how a themed kit can be adapted to document a wide variety of memories while still maintaining a cohesive and colorful design.
