I've kept this special paper (among other other paper packs) for almost 25 years now. Back when my parents were living in Japan, my mom would often go to the washi paper shop and pick up papers she thought I could use (I was into decoupage at the time). This is called yuzen (or chiyogami) - note, washi just refers to papers made of fibers (usually plant) - then the patterns, styles, or techniques are given specific names. In this case, chiyogami is the style - the patterns are usually hand-painted or screened and inspired by traditional kimono fabric patterns.
