Big Tex
by amandagaleSep 30, 2006
When I saw the prompt for Fair Day in the September Amazing Month of Memories, I knew it was time to get these pictures from last year's fair scrapped!! :)
The background picture was so dark (rainy day) and I used the lighten filter by Michelle Pearson and it worked perfectly for the effect I was wanting! :)
Journaling reads: A rainy cold day at the state fair, but a fun day none the less! You weren’t sure what to make of Big Tex, who has been a state fair mascot since 1952. His big booming voice welcomes everyone each year. We of course had to make a stop for the famous corny dogs first thing! Then we dragged Daddy and Kevin out of the car show and walked through a few exhibits. We watched some pig races and escaped the chill while cheering for our green pig to win! The day was wrapped up by touring through some of the animals, which was your favorite part! You especially liked looking at the calves and horses.
