Journaling reads:
It has the reputation of being a thugish sport, full of goons & fighting, slow & low-scoring. Um...not so much anymore. Gone are the days of clutch-&-Grab hockey. Now, it's up & down the ice, back & forth, a much faster game. Goalies have to be fit & more athletic to make save after save. Players take shot after shot at the net, knowing that a 2-3 goal lead is no longer safe. There are no ties anymore. If it's still tied after a 5 min OT, it goes to a shootout- 1 on 1 hockey. Best of 3 shooters for each team. Oh, and there are some amazingly talented young players- Sidney Crosby, Alexander Ovechkin, Paul Stasny, watching them bring life back into the game. Oh yeah, and of course, good old fights!
