I finally got around to doing my own "Old is New" challenge for this month: bottle caps! I used actual bottle caps from the beer bottles for the layout. Before you think I'm a raving lunatic for scrapping about beer, I hope you'll read the journaling. ;-)

Please excuse the big line down the image in the scan. This was hard to scan because of the lumpy bottle caps and gold paper.

"More than just a beer...which is why I'm actually taking the time to take pictures and dedicate a whole layout to...Dos XX Lager (in the green bottle). Papi is not a big beer drinker & neither am I, but this is our favorite beer. What does it remind me of?

When we met, Papi always ordered Dos XX Lager when we would go out. Now it brings back fond memories of our early dating days...tacos al pastor at Las Jirafas, plates of botanas at Eladio's, lounging on the beach in Cancún. Ah, recuerdos.

Now? We still pick up a 6-pack now and then...especially on hot summer days or when we are going to grill something for dinner.
