This layout was hard for me to do...but I am satisfied with how it turned out. It is a list...of sorts. Unfortunately, it is a list of the losses I have experienced in the last 4 months.
The words to Amy Grant's "Grown-up Christmas List" are on the right side.
I used Pixie Press sprinkle vellum, miscellaneous ribbon, MM metal words, EK success sticker (wish), red cardstock, and an office supply transparency that I printed myself. I also use a silver leafing pen on the edges of the photos and the journal box.
My journaling reads: I wish...for no more death. I know that Santa cannot give this to me, but with all the losses we have experienced this year, it is my most fervent wish that we do not have to go through this pain again, at least not for a long while. The only thing that keeps me going is knowing that someday, my wish will come true, not because I believe in Santa, but because I believe in God Almighty.
Revelations 21:4 says, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” On that wonderful day, we will be reunited with all those that we have loved and lost. Meanwhile, we will cherish the memories of our loved ones and keep wishing for the strength to follow God’s plan here on Earth. I believe!
