These are photos from when we visited Twinkie's litter when she was a little over 3 weeks old. We didn't know at the time which one of the two girls would be ours.

For Laura's May Color Challenge... use at least 3 shades of brown and one other color. The other color I choose was pink and used different shades of it. TFL!

Journaling reads: There were two girls born in Twinkie’s litter, and we knew that one of them would be ours and that their breeder, Debbie, would be keeping the other one for herself. Debbie sent us photos of the puppies after they were born, and in the photos they each had a color coded ribbon tied to them. One of the girls had a pink ribbon and the other had a purple one. When the puppies were three weeks old, we went to visit them for the first time, and on that fist visit the one in the pink ribbon came up to me and licked my hand. We sat on the floor to play with them, and watched the two puppies cuddle together and then after a while they would let us play with them and hold them. The one in the pink ribbon kept crawling under Richard’s legs and would snuggle there and fall asleep. Debbie referred to the two puppies as Pink and Purple. Purple didn’t have her ribbon on any more, but Pink still did. We made sure that we played with and held both puppies and that we would have photos of us with both of them, so in the future we would know in which picture we were actually holding our little girl. When they were a little over five weeks old we visited them again and took more pictures. We did not get to pick the one that we would get as Debbie was picking the one that she would keep, but honestly we would have had trouble making the choice. They were both precious little puppies and we loved and enjoyed playing with both of them. Even Debbie had a lot of trouble choosing which one she would keep, because they were both so simillar. Then, at eight weeks old, we took home little Pink. And as much as I would have had trouble picking which one would go home with us, deep down inside I felt that Pink had a certain connecton with us right from the start, and I was so glad when Debbie said she would be ours!
