Making the Cut
by blbabe1234Sep 24, 2013
*September 2013 Book of Me Challenge*
Out of my comfort zone is my hair cut. I have always, ALWAYS have had medium length hair. Just two weeks ago, I decided to cut it short. Very very short. This is the shortest it has even been. My hair is extremely thick and wavy, so I had asked the hair dresser if she could thin it out a bit. A straightening iron helps too. I journaled on the tag that is behind my photos.
For the twist, I chose to use gesso, and mist and stamping and lots of layers. Usually, when I layer, its with paper. But this time, after I let the gesso and mist and ink dry, I used a doily and layered my journaling cards/photos, with washi tape, and topped it off with the bling/flower. I am really really pleased in how this came out. Seeing this layout, makes me want to try gesso again. I'm not afraid anymore!
