For the weekly art journal sketch challenge (#86), I used 6x8" patterned papers from the Beach Vibes Collection (49 and Market).
I documented an outing with two girlfriends to view the Hokusai Exhibition in suburban Chicago. Hokusai is a Japanese woodblock printer master and one of his famous work is the Great Wave Off Kanagawa piece...it is my favorite :)
Since it was the end of summer and featuring the Great Wave, I justified using this collection. LOL!
Also, I flipped the right page so that I could create the title banner :)
I used vellum to journal with the LePen in Oriental Blue and secured it with the E-Z Runner Permanent Fine (aka the Vellum Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L)...it disappears into the vellum.
I die-cut letters from Alphabet Charm Dies (Emily Moore Designs) and trimmed off the loop...it fits perfectly on my 1" circle punch shape. Then I rolled the E-Z Dots Permanent over the letters before placing them on the pennants (Emily Moore Designs).
Thanks for letting me play along!
