The past few years Twinkie and Sky and I have spent the 4th of July out in the yard having pool and ball throwing fun, but this year was the hottest 4th that I ever remember. At 95 degrees and extremely humid, it was just too hot to go outside. They both laid around in the den looking so bored, so when I went out to water my flowers they came out with me. For the short time we were out there I decided to put some water in their pool so they could cool off, especially since Twinkie stood by the pool looking at me. So in the end they did end up having a little 4th of July pool time, just not for very long.
