Nueces County Commissioners Court had a Time Capsule Opening Ceremony at the County Courthouse that was placed in 1976. Included were letters, yearbooks, a pencil, silver dollar, newspapers, just to name a few things. One of our DAR members is also vice-president of the Nueces County Historical Commission, and she gave a short history of the time capsule.
