This was done for a challenge at The Digi Chick - to scrap about your favorite part of summer and your senses. :)

Journaling: My favorite part of summer is having campfires and bonfires. There is something mesmerizing about them, I could sit there and watch them in silence for hours! I love the smell of them, the smoky “I was just sitting by the fire” smell, even days later. I love the warmth that envelopes you as you sit next to it as the night cools off. And I love the taste of hotdogs roasted over the open fire, and once the flames have gone down, marshmallows roasted in the embers. And I love the final “hiss” that it gives as you put the fire out at the end of the night, exhausted from the day’s activities. There is absolutely nothing better than a campfire in the summer!
