Sixteen
by scrapworkingMar 21, 2006
Created for Round 4 of the ScrapForums contest. I didn't get to Round 5, but I'm totally cool with that - I have some layouts that I might not have done on my own, that I really love! Paper: My own design. Font: LB Sheri, Brushes - Chinaberry. REO Speedwagon Logo: www.reospeedwagon.com
Journaling Reads: You turned the radio on the other day and started flipping stations. You settled on the classic rock station that was playing REO Speedwagon’s ”Time for me to Fly“. Suddenly, it was 1979 and I was 16 years old. The same age that you are now. I would never have imagined that my son would be into the same music that I was! We share other similarities - our love for sports (yours is hockey, mine basketball), we both started working at a young age(you at McDonald’s and me, A&W), minimum wage today is $6.40, then it was $2.90. We both like our personal space neat & organized, we listen more than we talk and we’re very independent. In some ways being 16 is vastly different today. You have a cell phone, computers, the internet...and great music! ”Roll with the Changes“
