At 17 months the sling is no longer your primary form of transportation but it still plays an important roll in our days. Days like this trip to the park when you were asleep on arrival. I popped you in the sling and you continued your nap, content against momma. We still use the sling to get from here to there when your walking would not be safe or sane. A year ago you would spend an entire trip to the park lounging and sleeping in the sling. Checking the world out from your safe spot. As your have grown bigger and busier there are times that you want nothing more than to escape from mommy’s grasp to run and explore so for now I will cherish these fleeting times I have to hold you close while you sleep and I will continue to thank our sturdy sling for a job well done.
