I extracted the color from the background of the photo, because there was a lot of pink from the girls' clothes, which really detracted from my son; doing the color extraction made it easier to use the wonderful colors of the kit, which I did not want to recolor. I've used B&W and I've used color, but I've ever extracted part of the color.
