In 2007 my son, Andrew, a member of the USA Powerlifting team (USAPL) qualified to go to the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) World Championship Meet in France. We went with him and had a wonderful time.

He worked so hard and came so close to being first and was so disappointed to finish in 2nd place. Several months later, we found out that the lifter given 1st place failed his drug test (USAPL/IPF is drug free lifting only); so Andrew became the World Champion. It's just too bad that he missed standing on the podium and hearing the US National Anthem played for him; but he knows his hard work paid off.

My printer wasn't working very good, so I had to cut and tape the journaling onto the page. I am going to try to re-do this using a different printer or a copier this week.
