This WAS Home

by GinniGApr 28, 2025
Pictures of the downstairs of the house my parents lived in for almost 50 years. It was the home that my brothers and I grew up in and that my daughter (their only grandchild) also spent a lot of time in. For the Double Page Challenge – I used the sketch with the big circle. I also added 7 VERY dimensional flowers. For the Mood Board Challenge – I was inspired by the hearts because the home was very loving, the flowers at the bottom right because Mom loved gardening, and the louvered door (thus the striped border) because the doors from the upstairs into the rec room were those types of doors. For the 100 Sheets Challenge – 4. For the 30 Items Prompt - #19 – March comes in like a lion, out like a lamb. Make this a layout of contrasts. Can be colors, seasons, good/bad, etc. The contrast to me was the vision of how the house looked then compared to how much different it would look if I were to see it today after it was sold. I’m sure they’ve made a LOT of changes! Also the colors because the green is very bright and the grey is so dark. For Team Stinkerbelle – Challenge #1 - Double Page Challenge – I used the sketch with the big circle. I also added 7 VERY dimensional flowers; Challenge #2 – Mood Board Challenge – the hearts, louvered door and flowers were my inspirations; 100 Pages – 4; 30 Items #19 – March comes in like a lion, out like a lamb. Make this a layout of contrasts; emboss at least 1 item – the wide strips at the bottom were embossed; use 2 or more flowers; use 2 or more frames; use at least 2 mixed media products – 2 shades of Glimmer Mist and inks; at least one die cut from a machine – the square frames; use 5 or more patterned papers 1 must have polka dots (the hearts), one must have stripes (vellum border strips) and one must have flowers (the wide border at the bottom), the other two are the green swirls and the polka dot washi tape at the bottom for a total of 12 points.
