Pictures taken Dec 2007 at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
What Do You See?
Devine
Journaling:
I was not familiar with the existence of Devine until the first time I took Jen to Animal Kingdom. We were walking from "Africa" to "Asia" and Jen said "There's a tree walking in front of us." I thought that was some type of riddle until I looked ahead and I said, "Hey, there IS a tree walking in front of us." Well, not a tree but a living vine. She stepped off the path, wrapped herself around a tree, and became invisible. A few minutes later she eased herself back out.
She moved around surprising guests who did not expect to be confronted by walking foliage. She artfully "dances" as she makes her way down the path, occasionally disappearing into and around the trees. I googled her when I got home to find out what movie she was from, but they say she's an Animal Kingdom original, there since the park opened. She does 4 shows a day, each set 45 minutes long. People are affected in different ways, but it is certainly a head turner. Jen thought she was freaky; I thought she was pretty cool.
Supplies:
cardstock - DCWV
rubons - Royal & Langnickel
inks - Technique Tuesday, Distress It by Ranger
stamps - Sassafras Lass
colored alpha - Basic Grey
paint - Making Memories
ghost alpha - Heidi Swapp (painted)
leaf punchies - Ebay (inked)
pen - Pentel
