Remember 1987
by scrappinmom99Aug 21, 2023
MMC August 14 - Challenge 2 - ad inspiration - bonus: scrapped a favorite shirt :)
I used the Maurice Handler ad. It reminded me of this shirt as well as I used the color scheme and cloud paper in the corners. And Crate Paper (are they still around?) had this paper and I didn't realize until I was using it that it said 1987 right on the paper and this pic is from 1987 !!! So I used black stickles to highlight that bit of serendipity. Anyway also I used the photo/text as inspiration too.
Journaling: I saved my babysitting money and bought this awesome tie-dyed plaid flannel shirt at a mall in Buffalo with my cousin Mary. I bought some records and cassettes too. I was ahead of my time in flannel in 1987 but this shirt lasted a long time into the 90s!
