For Susan's October Journaling Challenge - journal about a fall memory. We brought Boomer home in November of 2000, and I have many photos of him and Cider together in the yard, which was covered with leaves at the time. I have such sweet memories of them together, and so I was inspired to do this page about their first weeks together in the fall of 2000. TFL.

Journaling reads: When Cider was four years old we decided to get a puppy so he could have a playmate. In November of 2000 Boomer joined our family, and much to our surprise when we introduced Cider to him we did not get the reaction we expected. Instead of getting all happy and excited, he basically turned and walked away. Our vet told us that this was a normal reaction, and once Cider got used to Boomer being around he would start to play with him. Sure enough before we knew it he started sniffing Boomer, and then eventually started to play with him. They became best friends and it was so much fun watching them run around the yard and play together. Boomer went everywhere Cider went, and I have so many wonderful memories of them together.
