For my September Music Challenge - a tribute to Dolly Parton. I chose her song title "I Will Always Love You" to scrap a tribute to my sweet Twinkie. It was not easy to do and I wasn't sure I was even going to get through it, but although many times I couldn't even see what I was typing, getting all that journaling out was therapeutic. I miss my sweet girl so much.

My Sweet Twinkie
I lost a piece of my heart when you went to Rainbow Bridge. I just ache to see your smiling face again. I want to cuddle you and pet you and kiss the top of your head. I want to scratch behind your ears again and look into your sweet, sweet eyes. You were a light that shined so bright. I loved watching you chase your tennis ball and I loved the look of anticipation on your face whenever someone was about to throw it for you. I loved watching you enjoy cooling off in your pool, and I loved watching you romp in the snow. You loved any chance of finding a puddle and getting muddy, and you loved to steal socks and papers and toilet paper rolls and anything small. You loved rough housing with Sky, and you loved ripping the stuffing out of not only your toys but her toys too. How I miss the sound of Sky barking and tattling on you when you were doing something naughty. Life has changed so much since you left. I miss you so, so much, it feels like my heart will never heal. I will never stop loving you and never stop missing the life we shared together. You were and always will be my Twinkling Star.
