My Colors Cardstock is manufactured with a high degree of care and consistency. Sheets are core-dyed and monitored to ensure a uniform color match from each dye lot. It's made from high quality virgin pulp, which results in paper with long fibers that's easier to score and fold without cracking or ripping effects. It's also great for nice, clean, even cuts when used with a die cutting machine. The Mini Dot line of colors are 80lb cover weight or 216 GSM and feature an embossed mini dot texture. Included is one 12x12 sheet of cardstock. Acid & lignin free.

When I think of jonquil I think of a brighter more primary yellow color - this is duller in color more of a mustard color. I really like the shade - it's different.

I'm not yet familiar with PhotoPlay's My Color lines and purchased this as a recommended color to coordinate with Winnie the Pooh from Reminisce. While it may contrast with that DSP line, it doesn't coordinate with it, and so I won't be using it for the intended purpose. That having been said, it is a pleasing color and I'll have no trouble incorporating it into my projects. My middle of the road rating is not because the ACOT recommendation failed but because of the quality of the paper. The embossing is not as pronounced as Bazzill's Dotted Swiss line, nor is the other side smooth as Bazzill's is. Cited at 80#, it feels significantly lighter than PhotoPlay's Carnival Red (also 80#), which doesn't droop in the hand as Jonquil does. It cannot serve as a card base nor carry weighty embellishments.
