A life time of memories

My Mind’s Eye….quite possibly my favorite scrapbooking company. Though, there papers often do not grab my attention by themselves, the layouts that I complete always come out stunning. When I saw this line was coming I knew I had to have it, even though I was a bit concerened about the kraft  as the base color. It is not usually a something I scrap with. When the papers arrived on my doorstep, I ripped open the box and proceeded to spread everything out across my bed, and I was immediately happy. My mojo lightbulb was lit up so bright I swear you could see it across the state if you had tried. I sat right down and finished 3 layouts in less than 3 hours….who cares that the laundry sat in the washer that whole time….or that the floors really needed to be swept and mopped. It was MME Life Stories time and I was going to scrap the stories of my life.  The fact that my house was not perfect…will always be the story of my life. The kraft was no longer a bit scary but invigorating as it is a fabulous neutral that blends with every color and every photo from every generation.

The first layout that I completed with this line was a photo of my mom that has been hangiong over my scrapbook desk for atleast a year awaiting just the right papers. Alas, the MME papers are those perfect papers. Because of the age of the photo I chose to go with a distressed look, added some Prima flowers and Prima flower centers along with a few of the Mark Richards glitter dots. Finally,  the picture of my mother on her 10th birthday opening her prized possesion( her Quick Draw McGraw) had found its way to one of my albums.

The second layout that I worked on uses a picture that I stumbled upon when I picked up the wrong photo album. It is a picture of me somtime in the 1970’s, doing my favorite childhood pasttime….swinging. The purples and pinks of thelavender palid kraft and  roses kraft  look so pretty with this photo, that the layout practically completed itself.

In that same album, I also came across this copy of my favorite wedding photo. I know it is not the normal wedding pic, but something about the look in my husband’s eyes make this my most treasured photograph of my special day.

While browsing that same photo album of oddball pictures I came across these pics of my father, husband and I working on a new counter top for our bar. This was the first home improvement project we tackled at our 1st home.

While needing to clean up the mess I had made while feverishly scrapping these pages, I found this picture on the floor. I do not know why it was there, or where exactly it had come from. I figured it was there for a reason, and I laid it on top of my pile of MME papers and viola!!—my next layout was already coming together.

As you can see this line works for every generation from the 1960’s to the current. I hope you find this line to be as inspiring and easy to work with as I did.
